As part of efforts to further develop cultural cooperation among the Member States of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), Mr. Mohammad Jafari Malak, Chairman of the Cultural Coordination Center of ACD (CCCACD), met with H.E. Mr. Akylbek Kylychev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Tehran, at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, following the Ambassador’s request. During the meeting, the objectives, structure and capacities of the ACD, as well as the mandate, activities and initiatives of the CCCACD, were presented. The Center’s 16 major programmes and initiatives were also introduced, including the “Shared Roots, Shared Future” project for collecting and publishing indigenous stories of children from ACD Member States, and the Asian Online Platform for the Education of Arts and Handicrafts. The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore potential areas for the participation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Center’s cultural, artistic, educational and academic programmes. The Ambassador welcomed the initiatives presented and expressed his interest in active and substantive participation by Kyrgyzstan in the programmes of the CCCACD. The meeting was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere, with both sides emphasizing the importance of following up on potential areas of cooperation and utilizing the cultural and artistic capacities of the Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of the Center’s programmes
