In his meeting with Dr. Ali Akbar Matkan, the Secretary General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, Mohammad Jafari Malek, the President of the Cultural Coordination Center of ACD, discussed cooperation between these two institutions and exchanged views. Describing the activities of the Cultural Coordination Center of ACD, Jafari Malek said: Based on the official proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran to an ACD summit in 2013, the ministers of culture of the member countries vested the responsibility of coordinating joint cultural activities of the Asian countries in 16 areas. In his speech, Mr. Matkan, too, emphasized that cooperation between the two cultural centers can have an effective role in introducing Asian culture to other countries. Further, it was decided that a delegation from the Cultural Coordination Center of ACD would use the experiences of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO to strengthen its organizational structure.
