The 34th edition of Fajr International Film Festival was held from April 20th to April 25th, 2016 in Charsou Cineplex. This year in the Eastern Panorama Section (Eastern Vista), 12 foreign films from Afghanistan, Pakistan, china, India, Turkey, Japan, Tajikistan, and three Iranian films were screened. The Asian films in the Cinema Salvation section were judged and the section granted an award to the best film as judged by the panel of juries. Speaking on the first meeting of the CCCACD with the 13 representatives of Member States Embassies from Afghanistan, China, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Korea, India, Tajikistan, Philippine, Turkey& Vietnam which was held in Tehran, on April 14, 2016 Mr. Reza Mirkarimi, the Secretary of “34th Fajr International Film Festival and the Managing Director of Khaneh Cinema, said: Fajr International Film Festival is Iran’s largest annual film festival held in Tehran. It is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to quality local and international films. Since its establishment, Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema. Every year, veteran directors and new filmmakers devotedly present their works in the festival.
