Mohammad Jafari Malak, Mohsen Shojakhani, and Ahmed Abdollahpour, the chairman and deputy chairmen of the CCCACD met with Mr. Mohammad Khazaei, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Head of the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs, and Mr. Seyyed Sadeq Mousavi, Director General of Festivals and International Cooperation in their office and spoke about cultural and cinematic cooperation among ACD member states.

At the beginning of this meeting, the chairman and deputy chairmen of the Cultural Coordination Center of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (CCCACD) briefed their hosts about the Asia Cooperation Dialogue, the formation process of the CCCACD, the 16 fields of cultural cooperation among the member countries, and proposed the establishment of the ACD Cinematic Union, as Asian Film Research Center, and also facilitation of film and series exchanges among the ACD member states.

The chairman and deputy chairmen of the ACD Cultural Coordination Center then suggested that the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs take on the initiative for the establishment of the proposed union in cooperation with those ACD member states with expertise and cinema industry, such as China, India, South Korea, and Japan.

This proposal was welcomed by Mr. Khazaei and by emphasizing the new approach of the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs toward active participation in the international field, he stated that his organization will look into the matter by conducting the necessary investigations of the past records and if there is no such organization in Asia, will declare its agreement and readiness and will prepare a plan to be presented in the upcoming meeting of ACD cultural representatives.
